Xtern - Cam ® Xtern-Cam® is a rugged outdoor solar powered portable surveillance camera with totally invisible infrared night vision technology which allows the camera to operate in day or night. It is the first product to be released as part of the Farm Cam Solar Smart® range of surveillance cameras and is a bundled product consisting of a Farm Cam Xtern camera, re-chargeable battery, remote control, 2GB memory card, card reader, battery charger and PC configuration software. The camera captures high-resolution black & white images when motion is detected and stores all the high resolution images to a removable memory card for easy viewing later, on a computer or PDA. The solar panel is capable of keeping the battery charged under normal conditions. In busy or harsh environment the battery will need additional charging. The camera can store up to 65,000 VGA images and will optionally overwrite the oldest images when the memory card is full to enable ‘set and forget’ operation. There is no need for a technician to install it. You simply screw the Camera to the wall, turn it on, and walk away – that’s how easy it is. When someone breaks into your property, you simply check the memory card and then give it to the police as evidence – It’s as easy as 1,2,3. Xtern-Cam® is also available with a colour camera for daytime operation and a GPRS modem for sending your photos to mobile phone or Computer via the digital mobile phone network.
